Claim: Dark Souls 3 Remaster Is Currently in Development
Dark Souls 3 Remaster Reportedly in the WorksFromSoftware is reportedly bringing back its best-selling Dark Souls game for a new audience. According to a recent claim, Dark Souls 3 is receiving the remaster treatment from the studio.
The report comes from well-known leaker Nick Baker, also known as "Shpeshal Nick," who revealed the news during the latest episode of the *Xbox Era* podcast.
“A lot of people will probably file this under ‘this was obvious,’” Baker said. “What I have heard is that we are getting a Dark Souls 3 remaster.”
While Baker hinted at additional details about the remaster, he stated he wasn’t “allowed to pass that on.” However, he suggested that resolution and framerate upgrades are likely, surpassing the original game's 1080p at 60FPS.
Dark Souls 3’s LegacyFirst released in 2016, Dark Souls 3 remains the best-selling title in the Dark Souls series, with over 10 million copies sold. As a franchise, Dark Souls has achieved over 35 million units in sales since its debut in September 2011.
